Why TruRoot Health Exists

For more than 15 years, Kimberly Rose Bley witnessed the full spectrum of human suffering as a bedside nurse. Mental health, physical health, emotional well-being, and even financial stability are all affected when people are stuck managing symptoms without understanding the root cause.

She saw firsthand how Western medicine excels in acute care, yet often falls short when it comes to chronic conditions. The system is built to manage symptoms—not to teach people how to heal.

TruRoot Health was created to change that.

Meet Rose, CFNMP

Kimberly Rose Bley is a Certified Functional Nutritional Medicine Practitioner with a background rooted in bedside nursing and real-world patient care.

Through her own journey's and working and providing care in a coal mining town far west. She discovered that true healing begins with understanding—understanding how systems in the body are connected, why symptoms develop, and how informed decisions can change outcomes for life.

She believes education is the foundation of lasting health, and that functional medicine should be accessible to people at every income level, insurance eligibly or not, young and seasoned.

An Education-First Approach to Healing

TruRoot Health focuses on education as the starting point for healing.

Instead of forcing expensive testing or overwhelming protocols upfront, we help people learn first—then build forward one layer at a time. This approach allows for clarity, confidence, and intentional action without pressure.

That philosophy led to the creation of Functional Medicine Freedom: a program designed to give immediate access to education, guidance, and support so individuals can start their journey right away and grow from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is functional medicine?

Functional medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health issues rather than just managing symptoms. It looks at how genetics, nutrition, lifestyle, environment, and stress interact to affect your overall health.

How is your approach different from conventional medicine?

Instead of short appointments and one-size-fits-all solutions, this approach takes a personalized, whole-body view. Time is spent understanding your story, reviewing patterns, and using education and targeted tools to support long-term healing rather than temporary relief.

What types of conditions do you help with?

Clients commonly seek support for fatigue, hormone imbalances, digestive issues, autoimmune concerns, weight struggles, brain fog, chronic stress, and metabolic issues. Even if you’ve been told “everything looks normal,” functional medicine helps uncover what may be driving symptoms beneath the surface.

Do you offer personalized treatment plans?

Yes. Each client receives an individualized plan based on health history, symptoms, lab data (when used), and personal goals. Plans may include nutrition guidance, lifestyle adjustments, targeted supplements, and functional testing when appropriate.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, services are typically self-pay. This allows for more time, flexibility, and personalized care without insurance limitations. Receipts can be provided if you wish to seek reimbursement through your provider.

Do I need lab testing to get started?

Not always. The process begins with a comprehensive health review. Lab testing is optional and only recommended when it makes sense for your situation. Testing is chosen strategically, not automatically.

How long does it take to see results?

Every person is different. Some people notice improvements within weeks, while deeper healing often takes several months. The focus is on sustainable progress rather than quick fixes, so results are more likely to last.

Is this program right for me?

This program is a good fit if you’re tired of guessing, managing symptoms, or being told “nothing is wrong.” It works best for individuals who are ready to take an active role in their health and commit to meaningful, lasting change.
